Church &

Ministries

Missionaries on the move: We have started our Local Missionary Project! It is super-dooper. Let me  say this is not an internship. At leat, not as I understand such things. I see an internship asĀ training people to do the things that I do as  the pastor, churchy stuff. Our idea is not focused on that, but more on  outreach. Really being missionaries here in the states. So this is the  challange: to break out of the apathatic American church attitude, then  with creativity and boldness conceive ways to reach the lost. So our  primary goal is to train young men and women (though it's just two guys  right now) to be effective missionaries in what might be the hardest,  most rock and weed littered soil on the planet.

We are just in our first couple weeks. We are learning quite a bit  as we go, learning how to breach barriers between us and the lost.  Learning that God provides just as he promised when we seek first His  Kingdom. Learning that all of our people are being stirred up by the  project.

God is good to us. We are enjoying and looking forward to the rest of this adventure. Be sure to check out the missionary schedule at the bottom of this page.

Resurrection Sunday: is coming up, April 24. I think we will have  evening services Monday through Friday the week before RS, building up  to the Resurrection. It will be something to which you should invite  your friends.

Visitors from Japan: The Kelley Family is coming May 1. They were Missionaries in Tokyo  for years and just returned to the states, not long after the disaster.  They are on their way to a new home in South Carolina. They are stopping by to encourage us and inform us about what they have done and what is  next for them.

Takahiro Nakamine is coming May 8. He is a fired up Japanese  Christian from Tokyo with a metal band! They are coming to the states to tour and spread the Word. How about that? He is playing at Mojo 13 May 7 with his band and then visiting us. You can look him up on Facebook.
